USMNT’s Brenden Aaronson ruled out of World Cup qualifiers


Midfielder Brenden Aaronson will miss the United States‘ last three World Cup qualifiers after injuring a knee throughout pregame warmups with FC Salzburg in Austria.

After Aaronson obtained damage Sunday, the U.S. Soccer Federation had stated he would report back to the nationwide group on Monday in Houston.

“After reviewing the updated medical information and in consultation with Red Bull Salzburg, we have determined that Brenden Aaronson would not be available to play in the upcoming World Cup qualifying matches,” the team said in a statement Monday.

“We have been hopeful he would have the ability to recuperate in time; sadly, that won’t be the case.”

Aaronson didn’t journey to the U.S. The American group stated it was undecided whether or not he can be changed on the roster, which has 26 gamers remaining.
