Cardiff are “likely” to be with out injured Wales internationals Josh Navidi and Willis Halaholo in addition to rising star Theo Cabango for Saturday’s Welsh derby at Scarlets.
Boss Dai Younger says again row Navidi, centre Halaholo and wing Cabango suffered “bumps” whereas beating Glasgow Warriors final weekend.
Not one of the trio has skilled totally within the build-up to the journey.
“The three of them are looking unlikely,” stated Younger.
Cabango – whose two tries helped carry victory against Glasgow Warriors in Cardiff final weekend – has an ankle difficulty.
Having seen his Wales Six Nations marketing campaign disrupted by a hamstring drawback, Halaholo is coping with an identical difficulty.
And having returned as Wales’ match got here to an in depth, Navidi is nursing a groin pressure.
Younger added: “We haven’t completely ruled them out yet, but Willis, Josh and Theo are three that picked up bumps.”
After going to Llanelli, Cardiff host Scarlets seven days later, then Ospreys journey to Cardiff Arms Park in one other derby on 23 April.
With these video games in thoughts, Younger underlined his unwillingness to threat any harm doubts at Parc y Scarlets.
“Obviously we want to put our best team out because there’s no [derby] game more important than the other.
“However I’ve at all times had a philosophy with gamers and participant welfare that I would a lot reasonably a participant be out for one recreation than six.
“So if I don’t believe that they are near 100% we won’t pick them and hopefully they’ll be right for the week after.”
With hopes of a primary away win of 2021-22 for Cardiff, Younger hopes the character of derby video games can profit his facet.
“Our best performances have certainly been at home and we haven’t really measured up to the same levels away,” he stated.
“So that has to change. I think form always seems to go out the window when it comes to derbies, and sometimes home advantage does as well.”
