The Tigers have added six gamers on MLB contracts forward of the 2022 season: Meadows, shortstop Javier Baez (six years, $140 million), left-handed starter Eduardo Rodriguez (5 years, $77 million), left-handed reliever Andrew Chafin (two years, $13 million), right-handed starter Michael Pineda (one-year, $5.5 million) and catcher Tucker Barnhart (commerce from Cincinnati Reds).
