All three NASCAR collection competed this previous weekend on the 20 flip street course, the Circuit of the Americas (COTA), in Austin, Texas. Ross Chastain gained Sunday’s Cup Sequence EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix which earned him his first collection victory. The ‘Watermelon Man’ (his household owns a watermelon farm in Florida) continued the custom he began after wins within the Xfinity and Truck collection. After his victory burnout, Chastain climbed up on the roof of his successful Chevy Camaro and smashed a big watermelon on the observe.

NASCAR Cup Sequence (NCS)

Solar, Mar 27, EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix at Circuit of the Americas (COTA) – 68 laps +1 OT
Ryan Blaney (#12 Ford Mustang) gained the Pole Award for Sunday’s race with a lap of 92.759 mph. That is his eighth pole in 240 NCS races. It’s his 2nd pole and fifth top-10 begin in 2022 and 1st pole in two races at COTA. Daniel Suarez (2nd) posted his 1st top-10 begin of 2022 and his 1st in two races at COTA. Cole Custer (third) posted his 1st top-10 COTA begin and his 1st in six races this season. Austin Cindric (tenth) was the quickest qualifying Sunoco Rookie of the Yr (ROTY) contender. Alex Bowman (2nd) posted his 2nd top-10 end in two races at COTA and his third top-10 end in 2022. Christopher Bell (third) posted his 1st top-10 end in two COTA races. Austin Cindric (eighth) was the best ending ROTY. Polesitter Ryan Blaney led one lap and completed in sixth place.

Cup Sequence common Ross Chastain (2nd) posted his 1st top-10 begin of 2022 and his 2nd in two NXS races at COTA. Cup common Cole Custer (third) posted his 2nd top-10 COTA begin and his 2nd in two NXS races this season. Sheldon Creed (sixth) was the quickest qualifying ROTY. Austin Hill (2nd), the best ending ROTY, posted his third top-10 end in 2022. This was his 1st begin at COTA. Cole Custer (third) posted his 2nd top-10 end in two COTA races. Polesitter Ty Gibbs led one lap an completed in fifteenth place.
